These terms govern your use of the games published by Squirrelhog Pty Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), an Australian company (ABN 83 659 968 439). By downloading, installing or using any of our games, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the games.

The short version. Play our games for personal fun. Some games sell optional in-app purchases and use in-game currency (acorns or slops) — that currency has no real-world value and isn't refundable except where the law says so. We provide the games as they are, and nothing here takes away the rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

1. Your licence to play

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and play our games on devices you own or control, for your own private, non-commercial entertainment. You may not copy, sell, rent, sub-licence, reverse-engineer, decompile, modify or create derivative works from a game except to the extent the law permits despite this restriction.

2. Who can play

Our games are made for general audiences. If you are under 18, you may use them only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf. We don't knowingly direct our games at, or collect personal information from, children under the age at which consent is required (see our Privacy Policy).

3. In-app purchases

Some games offer optional one-off in-app purchases (for example, a theme pack) or purchases of in-game currency. Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and managed by RevenueCat; we never receive your card details. Prices, contents and availability of purchases may change. Restoring previous purchases relies on the app store and the account you bought them with.

4. In-game currency (acorns / slops)

Some games include a virtual in-game currency, shown as acorns or slops depending on your chosen character. This currency is a limited licence to use features within the game it belongs to. Specifically:

5. Acceptable use

When using our games you agree not to cheat, use exploits, bots or unauthorised third-party software, tamper with or attempt to gain unauthorised access to a game or its data, disrupt the service for others, or use a game for any unlawful purpose.

6. Your data

How we handle data is set out in our Privacy Policy. In short, your game data is stored on your device and, if you opt in, in your own device-cloud account — not on our servers.

7. Availability and changes to the games

We may update, change, suspend or discontinue a game (or any feature) at any time. While our games are designed to be played offline, in-app purchases, currency restoration, optional cloud sync and optional leaderboards rely on third-party services that may be unavailable from time to time.

8. Third-party services

Our games use services provided by Apple, Google, RevenueCat and Sentry, each governed by its own terms. Where you download a game from the Apple App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement applies as a minimum and, to the extent of any inconsistency for iOS, prevails over these terms.

9. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, our games are provided "as is" and "as available", and we don't warrant that they will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of data or in-game progress or currency.

10. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), including the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability for breach of such a guarantee can be limited, our liability is limited (at our option) to re-supplying the relevant game or service, or paying the cost of having it re-supplied.

11. Termination

We may suspend or end your licence to use a game if you materially breach these terms. You may stop using a game at any time by removing it from your device.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms if our games or practices change, and will revise the date at the top. Continued use of a game after a change means you accept the updated terms.
