This policy covers the games published by Squirrelhog Pty Ltd ("we", "us"), an Australian company (ABN 83 659 968 439). It explains what our games collect, why, and the choices you have. It is written to align with the Australian Privacy Principles (Privacy Act 1988).
The short version. You don't create an account to play our games. Your players, games, scores and progress are yours. We collect a small amount of data to run the games, keep them working, and process optional in-app purchases. We don't show ads, and we don't sell your data.
What we collect and why
Your game data
Players, groups, games, scores, history and progress are stored on your device. If you sign in to your device's cloud (Apple iCloud on iPhone and iPad, or Google on Android), a game can sync this data to your private cloud account so it follows you to your other devices. It lives in your own cloud account, not on our servers — we can't read it.
Purchase data
Some games offer an optional one-off in-app purchase (for example, a theme pack). If you buy one, the purchase is handled by the app store (Apple or Google) and by RevenueCat, our purchase-management provider. They process a purchase record and an anonymous app-user identifier so the unlock works and can be restored. We never receive your card details — the app store handles payment.
Leaderboards (some games)
Some games offer optional leaderboards through Apple Game Center or Google Play Games. If you choose to take part, the nickname and scores you submit are shown on that platform's leaderboard and are governed by Apple's or Google's own terms. If you don't opt in, nothing is submitted.
Diagnostics and crash reports
We use Sentry to collect crash and error reports (device model, operating-system version, and the technical details of a crash) so we can fix bugs. These reports are not used to identify you.
We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, photos, or an advertising identifier. Our games contain no advertising.
Third parties we use
- Apple (App Store, iCloud, Game Center) — purchases, optional cloud sync and optional leaderboards.
- Google (Play, Play Games) — purchases, optional cloud sync and optional leaderboards.
- RevenueCat — purchase management and restore.
- Sentry — crash and error diagnostics.
Each processes data under its own privacy terms.
Children
Our games are suitable for general audiences and are not directed at children under the age where consent is required. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your game data stays until you delete it in the game or remove the app. Cloud-synced copies are removed when you delete them from your device's cloud account. To request deletion of any data held by our providers, contact us below.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles you can ask what personal information we hold and request that it be corrected. Contact us and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
Changes
We'll update this page if our games' data practices change, and revise the date at the top.
